Milling the head.
What kind of gains would you expect to see if you had your engine head milled?

I wouldn't expect to see tremendous gains. You will gain some power with the bump in compression. But the overall amount of power gain would be based on how the rest of the motor is setup.

Would it not throw the timing off by milling the head? I've had different views on the subject and most people say that its not to safe to do.

Its where you shave a small amount off the bottom of your engine head. The part that bolts onto the block. It reduces the combustion chamber slightly raising the compression. I may be wrong, but I think thats it...

No it will not throw the timing off. And on these small enigines milling(shaving) the head will not do a hole lot ya may get a couple hp from doing it. But down side it you will only be able to run high octane gas or it will ping like crazy. Over all if your goin to spend the money on this mod it is problem better that you do something more effective like a turbo or nos or something else...
