The power window motor just went out on the driver's side window on my 2001 Windstar. I ran electrical tests on the switches to verify that it is a bad motor, and it definitely is.
I am planning on replacing the motor soon, but I need to get the window back up until I can either replace the motor myself or have to take it in to get it replaced. Is there a bolt to manually operate the motor in the window? If not, is there any other way to get the window up without pulling it off track? |

Re: 2001 Windstar power window question
Remove the motor and you will be able to just push the window up. Reinstall the motor to hold the window up or use a stick cut to the right size.
