input speed sensor!!!

OK so i have a 99 plymouth breeze expresso and my check engine light came on so i had it read and the computer said it was an input speed sensor. So my mechanic called around to get one and everywhere he called they told him plymouth breezes dont have input speed sensors? anyways, was wondering if someone could tell me exactly where the input speed sensor is... i know its in the transmission... but i need specifics... thanks!

Re: input speed sensor!!!

There is an input speed sensor. When I got my car a couple of years ago, I had to replace it. At the time you could only get it from the dealer. I think it was $50. Well...my check engine like came on a few days ago. It showed up as 3 different codes. It isn't switching out of second gear. I just need to know if there's anything that I'm doing wrong.

Re: input speed sensor!!!

I know this is a little late but the Input speed sensore is right below the transmission cooler lines it has just two wires attached to it. if you remove your air intake and look straite down behind the transmission controll module you can see it. I bought the part at Auto Zone for about $16.
