1994 BMW 525i with 45K miles for sale

Up for sale is a beautiful, low mileage 1994 BMW 525i with 49,500 original miles. The car is in excellent condition with little interior wear and normal exterior wear for its age. I purchased the vehicle for my wife four years ago and the previous owner was a Colonel at Randolph Air force Base, TX. He was the original owner and only put 32,000 miles on the car during his ownership.

This car handles like a dream! The cockpit is incredibly quite and vehicle handling is superb at 80 m.p.h.

I get 19 m.p.g. in town and 24 m.p.g on the highway.

In the past year we’ve replaced the following items: Four new Michelin tires, lift struts for the hood, trunk and glove box, serpentine belt and water pump (BMW metal blade pump) as a preventative maintenance measure.

I'm also a big believer in flushing transmissions, cooling systems, brake fluid and power steering fluid every year regardless of the mileage. I've found all my cars last much, much longer with few problems when completing simple preventative maintenance. I also use Mobil1 synthetic oil and BMW filters at all oil changes.

The AC is ice cold, the heated seats work fantastic (real bottom burners) and the optional traction control is gold on slippery streets. The transmission shifts flawlessly and the ABS stops the car on a dime. The leather seats have minimal wear and no tears. The dash and all wood panels have absolutely NO cracks.

The only issue I've had to address over the last four years that we've owned
the car is a bad 02 sensor as diagnosed at Rhine West Performance located in San Antonio.

While this car is simply incredible, it is thirteen years old and has a few flaws.

Imperfections are: some swirling in the paint here and there (not noticeable from a distance), the leather door panels on the passenger front and rear door are starting to come unglued and need to be re-glued. In addition, the power headrests don't go up or down; however, I can hear the motors so it may be something simple to correct. The door handle gaskets are cracking, a very common issue on BMW's. I'm providing the replacement gaskets for the door handles at no additional charge so that the new owner may replace them.

I would enthusiastically welcome a pre purchase inspection if a perspective owner (at their expense of course) requests it. I would recommend Rhine West or the San Antonio BMW Center but the decision is yours.

For additional information and photos, please see the vehicle at this link.
