Re: 97 vic lx

watch out for problems with these:

1: noisy or loose steering. Worn bushings and ball joints.
2: ABS & check engine light.
3: interior controls and features
4: engine or transmission leaks or noises.

Talk them down on the price if possible. If it has air suspension walk away. Depending on the options the car has makes a difference in its overall value. The miles arent too bad but still leave a possibility for front end problems and other problems.

make sure you check the frame rails in the front over really good for rust, breaks and cracks... by the front wheels... jack it up and take the wheels off, get a real good look there... i know it sounds crazy but they have a major problem there because the road debris collects there...

good luck

Re: 97 vic lx

Check to see if it still has the original, all-plastic intake manifold. If so, there's a good chance it will need replacing at some point (preferably BEFORE it blows).
