Re: tranni problem.. need help!!

Sounds like the vane pump turned into a garbage disposal..

Letting fluid go by and no pressure.. Good news its not. Less than 110k miles?.
Get a re manufactured tranny if you must.. rebuilts (aamco) are just bad part replaced.

Good Luck

Re: tranni problem.. need help!!

When was the last time it had a tranny filter and fluid change? Has the tranny ever been flushed?
Pull the dip stick and wipe some fluid on a white paper towel, what color is it? Does it smell burnt?

You can look for a used one at a junk & salavage yard, but being a 94 it will probably have a lot of miles on it too and there is a chance it won't be any good either. If yours is toast the best option is look for a shop that does complete rebuilds, get three or four bids and go with the lowest. Check with some used car lots and ask who they use to rebuild their trannys. Selling a 94 with 120K mi and a bad trany might get you $300. so you have a decision to make because in good condition it would bring $1,000. top dollar.
