Her's a pic of the lower area of my car:
Notice all the rock chips!! I was wondering if I would be doing any good by going in and applying touch up paint to these spots. Note: the car wasn't freshly cleaned when I took this photo, so the area isn't as bad as it looks. I want to protect those bare metal spots against rust and make it look a little better. I've got some base and clear paint. Because it's down to the metal, should I also use a primer?? Will applying touch up paint help to prevent future rusting? thanks
