Exclamation Intake Mani for 420a

Seen this today and was kinda interested. One of a kind it looks like. If mine wasn't getting ported out right now I'd actually consider buying this... except for the fact the TB is on the wrong side.

I don't get it...I thought that was the exhaust manifold, and the intake manifold is above the head where the TB is? Me = confused.

Re: Intake Mani for 420a

I dont' know about the 25hp gain on a bone stock motor...usually intake manifolds are one of the last upgrades for more power, I wanna call bullshit. And it looks like ass and wouldn't fit right. As for you David, it would probably give you a little extra power, but porting out the stocker will do just the same.

Re: Intake Mani for 420a

I think the big problem with that piece of crap is, you can make an intake manifold as big as you want. But the head can only flow so much air at one time. I think it's very ugly and a bit unnecessary in the big department.

Re: Intake Mani for 420a

The size doesn't matter one bit when it comes to something like that...you could have a huge fucker or a stock sized one, but if it won't "flow" the air nicely, you're going to lose lots of power. intake manifolds are specifically designed to flow air a certain way, that's why i don't believe the gain of 25hp on a stock motor unless they tested and re-tested that bitch 50 times.

Oh ok that makes sense. I thought I was going crazy for a second. That thing is really clunky looking though, you can tell he made it himself.
