Anyone know about this Ecotek CleanBurn thing?

I saw it in MKS's signature, and it kinda cought my attention...I looked at their website, it sure seems good. Can anyone share their experiences with it? Does it really work?

ooops sorry just got back online hehe ...

well i find that it works qutie well ... my fuel usage went down (till i got my backbox hehe), and acceleration seemed smoother... the only thing i dont like about it is the strange noise it makes lol ... kinda like a load whine .... i dont think u can go wrong for £40 or whatever it was hehe..

it dont do that much well at least not with my engine prob getting 1 extra bhp or somthing. ... but it might be a good thing in the us with all your smog tests and stuff.. maybe with a bigger engine u will see muuch better results .... but one thing i know is that a few of my mates have then and they seem to like it too

it can be dodgy with a few cars but it does say how to fit it and what problems there r with a few cars

very easy to fit

I've heard some pretty good thinks about the EcoTek stuff.

It's just a breather that goes inline with the fuel line, just before it goes into the intake manifold. All it does is cause the gas/air to swirl, supposedly mixes it more evenly for a more efficient combustion...

easy to install ....

there should be a breather line coming from the master cylinder for the brake into the engine near the injectors or in my case carbs .... all you do is cut this line and connect up the ecotek .... then follow the instructions on how to tune the device and whala all done

some cars have probs because where the brather goes into the engine the air is not spread out evenly .... when u have the ecotek installed the can course the engine to miss not a good thing hehe... cos the air is being used up by one cylinder instead of all four so one is working better than the others ....

on mine it worked fine because where the breather is conneced it fun air to all four cylinders fine .... i think it is cool for the other hondas too ....

i know on there web site they have a big list of how too's with different cars and a message board with even more how too's just check it out

thats pretty cheesy that they'd steal the name of an engine.. ecotek is the engine in new cavaliers and sunfires.

Isn't the new Cavalier/Sunfire engine Ecotec, not Ecotek?

Not like it matters :P
