Instrument Cluster Malfunction
I have a 96 Grand AM. After starting, all of the dash lights stay on and the tachometer does not read. But when you drive it the speedometer will read. We had this diagnosed and they said we needed a new cluster. I went to a junkyard and picked one up and after installation it is having the same problem as before. Where should I look next?

Re: Instrument Cluster Malfunction
You very well may have bought a bad one form the salvage yard.
Check the fuses jic one has blown. Check to make sure the pins on the plug in are not bent or broken. This model of GA is notorious for the dash clusters going out. I have read where people has had them rebuilt from somewhere, not sure where. ![]() and Welcome to AF!
