Oldsmobile problem
Wife drove her Olds to work today, high was around 6 degrees. Ran fine getting there. Came time for her to come home and when you turn the ignition key it does'nt do anything. Lights and everything else works fine. It was to cold for me to check it out tonight ,but I would like some advice on what to check tommorrow. Thanx

Re: Oldsmobile problem
Transmission starter interlock swithch.
This prevents the car from starting in gear. Try wiggling the shift lever while turning the key, or bypassing the switch. Also, try carefully energising the starter motor directly, using jumper cables. If this spins the starter, try energising the starter solinoid. If this works too, then the problem is in the starter circuit. |

Re: Oldsmobile problem
Make sure the battery terminal's are tightened. My girlfriend's Oldsmobile has the same problem you described on starting. Make sure those connections are tight.
