Yahoo email issue

I've noticed a problem with my Yahoo email account since yesterday. On most messages,(not all though,) the text of the email is not displayed, there is only white space. The header of the email is there and that is it. These are emails from senders I normally get emails from and I don't know what could be causing this. This is only happening on my Firefox browser, when I try it on IE the text is displayed. Anyone else experience this, and what did you do to rectify the problem? Thanks.

Re: Yahoo email issue

Hmmm. Text not showing in emails. Have you tried reinstalling Firefox? What add-ons are you using? Does it block pictures also?

Thanks for the invite but I already have a Gmail account,(along with one other Yahoo account this one is tied into my new ISP and one from my old ISP Bluefrog.com, and I guess my old AOL account is still active even though I haven't had AOL for 4 years. I've had the Yahoo account that I'm currently having problems with for 5 years and am so used to using it. One thing I noticed that is strange is that I used to get on average 150-200 Bulk emails a month on that account. Back in October I switched from dialup to Verizon FiOS with Yahoo content. After that the same account was only getting 5 to 10 Bulk emails per month. I wonder what happened to cause the sudden drop. I don't remember doing anything new on my end. Oh well, I'm not complaining.

You know that's funny you should mention that,(reinstalling Firefox.) I've been having a problem with another email account- Bluefrog.com, my old dialup . I would go to compose an email and when I hit "Send" I would get a error message- Error 400 Bad Request. This only happened on Firefox and not IE. I've been in contact with Bluefrog tech support trying to fix the problem and one thing they said was to reinstall Firefox, backup my bookmarks and reinstall it to see if that would fix the problem. I was nervous to do so at first because to be honest, I have probably over 100 saved bookmarks and the thought of backing them up seem daunting. But I Googled "backing up bookmarks in Firefox" and found that there is a add on or extension to help you do just that. I will look further into it this weekend when I have more time and possibly do it. Currently, I am not using any other extensions or add ons, but I just downloaded Skype and there was a add-on for IE and Firefox( that was 2 days ago, around the time the problem started w/ Yahoo- HMMM I wonder if that new add on could be the issue??)

Re: Yahoo email issue

You should be able to back up your book marks by going to bookmarks > mannage bookmarks...file > export bookmarks, I think thats how you would do that, then when you uninstall and reinstall firefox, you do the same but you import instead of export. I get a lot of bulk mail in my yahoo account too, bubt in one month I would have almos 1,000 spam emails, i thought it was rediclus so i switched to gmail.
