And I really like the carbon-fiber method. Much cheaper than buying a ton of decal, but like they say...

I also think it's funny that they endorse the taillight painting method you just decided you hate, Guiddy!!!

He's a couple ot tips i use for painting the body shell's of cars.
Before painting the body i put the car in the sunlight to warm the body up, or in the oven to just make the body warm(only very slightlywarm) When finshed painting the body it goes back in the oven or microwave to stop any dust etc getting on the wet paint. They are good dust free areas. Leave in for 30-45mins(not going of course !! ) so that the paint has "gone off" and you can leave out without anything getting on the new paint.Am i weird ???....lol

I tried the oven method, and you really cannot have the oven on, ever, at all!
But if you run it for a bit, then turn it off and wait for the temperature to get right, it works. Now I use the cupboard where my boiler is, run the hot water for a bit and the boiler gets hot. I also warm the cans on a radiator or in hot water. |

Minor change
Seems the URL has changed. Perhaps Tamiya reorganized their website?

Model Car Tech
Quote:
It was down for a while, and some things are still missing. I had some problems with my host...and still do, my images aren't always showing - which sucks. There is much to come from Model Car Tech.................stay tuned! Heya LuKe! Yup, Luke57 is here, I think Bob Downie reads this board, and several other HHers. I've been a member here at AF for a while now, just never got around to posting - to busy picking my chin up off my desk looking at the work of some of the guys here!!! Hope to become a "regular" here! Tim D. http://modelcartech.com |

P-Man....why don't you just use a food dehydrator? I think it is better used for drying paint on model kits then making apple chips
