need a stock y8 pic
can somebody please post a pic of their stock y8 set-up. particularly around the intake manifold, vacuum lines, and around the eletrical connections.
i have a y8 but still using the a6 intake mani. time to add the y8 one. it would really help to see pics of the stock set-up. thanks in advance! ami

If it is vtec (is that better?)
 then why doesn't the head say vtec on it? I have the same engine (d16y8) and I was under the assumption that I didn't have vtec because of the lack of the vetc head cover.

Yeah i know what your sayin about the valve cover. I was wondering why mine didnt say it so i called the dealership and they said the 96-98 civics dont have the valve cover that says vtec, but if i wanted to check i could take off the intake and rev the engine and it should change tone at 5600 rpm. I decided not to do it... besides, you could always just look to see if you have a vtec solenoid. If you have a d16y8, you have vtec. Isnt the d16z6 the same engine but without vtec?
