New Tach????

I have a 95 Blazer 4dr 4x4 Vin: W 4.3L V6

My question is, my current gauge pod does not have a tach. I was wondering if I got myself on ebay and got a gauge pod that does have a tach in it, will it be a plug and play type install? Simply swap the gauge pod out and the tach will work? If so, cool, if not, what all else would I have to do to make it so that I have a working tach in a factory type gauge pod?

Re: New Tach????

You should be able to put a cluster from any '95 Blazer or S10 PickUp in there.
Just be sure to get the donor unit from a V6 truck, not a 4 cylinder unit.

I have a '97 Blazer that I got a cluster from an '95 Blazer at my local salvage yard. The only draw back was the '95
had a column shifter with the PRNDL on the face, while my '97 has a floor console shifter without the PRNDL on the face.
Here's a link to my original post when I did the swap-out.
