93 325 IS airbag light

I need some help. I'm willing to buy the tool. It seems it does not exist.
Pelican says 94-2000. I tried ebay, the guy said 93 is very different than 94-2000. The tool won't work.

Does anybody have info on how to turn this thing off?

I'll pull the dash and cut the wire before I pay the dealer criminals
to reset it.

Thanks.

Re: 93 325 IS airbag light

You can try and disconnect the negative battery cable for about two minutes and that may work, or you can get a scanner and reset. However, if the light stays on the airbag s non-operational.

Do you have a link for a place to get a scanner?
I've tried all over the internet and can only find
94-2000 reset tool.

Thanks.

Peake research should sell them and for a price any independent foreign car tech can reset and read the codes.

I checked with the folks at Peake and they do not offer a tool to reset your SRS, they said take it to a dealer (ouch). You can try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a couple of minutes, but I do not think that will work.

Re: 93 325 IS airbag light

I had a 1995 325i with the airbag light on. Turned out to be the seat belt which is connected to the air bag somehow. If it is the air bag you might want to find out.

Re: 93 325 IS airbag light

Thanks. I've disconnected the battery.
It didn't work. I'm sure the light came on because
the car was started with the seats not in it
(were replaced before I bought it)

<sigh>
