93 bmw 325i heat problem...need help!

The heater works fine when car is running but when you stop at signal, air will become cold till car start running again.
any idea what needs to be checked?? Car does not over heat and everything else is working normal........

A couple of things come to mind, there is a heater valve up under the dash that could be faulty, but the first thing I would suspect is the thermostat. Thermosttat is a cheap fix and I would replace that first.

i replaced the thermostat and lost the heat whatever I was getting while car is moving......there is no heat at all even when car is moving.........any idea??

i that heater volve on driver side or passenger side???

I see you posted at Bmmerwerkz on E36 board, I also posted on Roadfly with the issue. You may need to bleed the cooling system, and I am not sure if the E36 has the cooling bleed screw atop the thermostat housing, if so, you need to start her up and let her warm up and then crack open that bleed screw and let coolant flow (it is hot) a bit until no more bubbles appear in the coolant stream (may take a couple of tries). I will let you know what the buds at Roadfly think or you can go there and look, I post as Bubba at Roadfly.
