84' 302 loses gas prime

I have a 84' 302 that seems to lose its prime after driving for a few miles, and when i come to a stop sign or red light it will try to stall on me unless i keep foot on the gas. seems like when engine cools down it starts back up just fine. any answers would be of great help.thanks.

Re: 84' 302 loses gas prime

My '82 did that from time to time. I had to change the fuel filter every week...I would find rust-like deposits in the FF. Traced my rust-like deposit to be the inside of my fuel tank rotting away. I have the new fuel cell on order. Good Luck!
