P0134 code on a '97 T&C AWD

AutoZone tells me that it is O2 sensor (bank 1, sensor 1-before catalyct converter). Can someone tell me the location of this part? Another thing, the service engine light's been on for about 2 months now. Would there be any engine performance change when I replace it? Thanks

Re: P0134 code on a '97 T&C AWD

It's on top of the exhaust manifold on the back side of the engine, just forward of the exhaust pipe connection flange. Any performance decline, like hesitations or mileage decline you may or may not have noticed, will return.

I'm getting the same code (and no others) on a '97 Grand Voyager 3.3. Is it always the one 'upstream' and not the one after the converter?

Whoops, based on what I read here, it is. http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/index.php

Thanks.. steve
