Spark plug wires

Does it matter which wires go to which spark plug. I replaced my headers recently and didnt even consider that fact that that might matter.

And if they do matter, are they labled? how do I know?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Spark plug wires

yes it does matter. Did you take the wires completly off like off the cap to? Or just off the plugs?. You need to get a picture of the same motor and look at them and do your the same. Thoes books that help you fixing you truck should have a pic in it.

Re: Spark plug wires

Two wires were crossed up, the 6 and 8 cylinder. And the distributor capis conveniently labeled with which cylinder each wire goes to. So i fixed that up and she runs great, thanks for your help guys.
