rear defog not working

rear defog doesn't work in my 98 z42. The amber light turns on when i push the defog button and everything, but it's not doing it's job. Any suggestions?

Hi on your rear window from the inside you'v got 2 pins welded onto the defoger on either side as to left and right sides.. Just check to see if they'v unwelded from the window. If so then you'll need to get them welded back onto the rear window.. good luck

just got the car two weeks ago, and no it doesn't have any tint. Checked the fuse and connectors. All seem fine. Wiring issue i'm guessing?

check for power to the rear window with an ohmmeter

then check with a test light and tell us what happened when doing both tests
