Modded 99 Silverado vs modded 02 Camaro SS m6.....vid inside

My truck vs my buddies 02 Camaro SS m6 224 cam/bolt ons. Car made 400rwhp. No times at the track yet. He was on street tires to my Hoosiers.

I warmed up the tires, and we lined up. At the launch, we both came out alright(I had to feather it alittle due to spinning, and he bogged down alittle). He got alittle ahead of me, but I pulled on him to about a half a car probably around the 1/8th mark. I stayed about a half a car ahead for awhile, with him pulling up next to me at the end of the 1/4. Anywhere over the 1/4 and he can usually pull past me(unless we're on a road I can actually launch hard......he has a hard time catching me there).

He also raced another 11 second camaro ss three times that night. He won 2 of the 3 races.

We got a crappy vid of the action. You can't see that much, due to both the quality of the vid and the fact that it was early morning racing. You can see alittle and can hear the wonderful lsx motor sounds anyway.

Overall, a good return race for the truck and hopefully I'll finish getting the bugs out of the it before too long. My tune is still alittle out of whack.

Wow,14 views and no replies. Maybe I should replace silverado with tercel and camaro with kia in order to get a little positive feedback in here. Either that or go race my girlfriends 15 second chick car against a couple of Whale-winged civics. That usually draws a crowd here.

Yeah, I really wish we didn't have to race so late, er...early in the morning. We spent all last weekend running from the local cops. My buddy in the ss got pulled over and was issued a crap ticket because they never could catch us racing. One tried to pull me over. I was riding on a two lane street. When the cop met me he hit his brake lights and rode to the next driveway to turn around. I had a good 1/4 mile or so on him when he got turned around. I came to the stop sign, made a right onto the four lane, and stomped it out of town. No way he was gonna get the opportunity to run me down. The cop that had the camaro pulled over told the driver that he better call me and tell me to stay out of town the rest of the night because I had gotten away.

Yeah I gotta agree. I got alot more responses when I had the Evo. Good run against the Camaro SS. That camaro sounded healthy. Dunno if it will run an 11 sec. 1/4 mile though. I'd guess it would run a 12.2 sec. 1/4 mile, unless he has weight reduction.

I watched the vid... couldn't see very much... which is a shame because you have the sweetest truck... yeah, and it's ridiculously fast as well.

Sucks that you have to race in the early morning but it was cool that you got out away from the cops...

I got wind that we may have a new place to race. I'm going to check it out today, and if so, we'll be able to get some daytime races in this weekend. I've got a date with a big block truck sometime this weekend.
