Great Big Sea
Just wondering how many of you know about Great Big Sea. They're a canadian band from newfoundland, so it's pretty folky, very maritimes oriented. anyways, if you haven't heard of them, well you aren't canadian, and you should check them out.
My favourite album is Play, some of it's great pub and drinking music, others are more low energy, but i love grabbing a bottle of keith's (a maritime beer, one of my fav's) and listening to some GBS.

The bad guys didn't recognize him out of fear.

Love the song The night that Patty Murphy died. The lyrics ofcourse, but the music is wonderful as well.

haha yeah, that's gotta be their best drinking song. i was at some pool house/bar and as soon as that song came on almost everyone stoped shooting pool and joined along. it was a pretty big place so you had around 300-400 people singing at the same time.
