School bus questions

Alright, so I'm thinking of buying a school bus possibly to convert into a camper to park on my property and use. Here are some questions I have to anyone that might be familiar with school buses...

1) How many MPG does a typical 5-speed gas engine get on a full-size school bus?
2) How about the MPG on a 5-speed diesel full-size school bus?

3) What about the smaller buses? What's the MPG for gas/diesel versions typically?

4) When there's an issue with a school bus, do you bring it to a normal mechanic or do you have to go to a special RV/bus mechanic?

Thank you,
Andrew

Re: School bus questions

You'll get way better milage with a deisel they create more tourqe so it's easy to haul stuff around with out guzzling fuel. A Gas engine will use more fuel up than a deisel will.
