Instrument cluster problems, anyone else?

My car is a 01 3.0 FFE and the gas guage flux's and never ever reads correct. It also beeps when ever it wants like I haven't put my seatbelt on. It will beep beep beep and repeat this three or four times.

For a while the bat light would come on but nothing would be wrong. I've replaced the instument cluster and that didn't change a thing but the mileage.

I am tired of going off the mileage to know when to fill up. I've ran out of gas way to many times and I am tired of it.

Anyone else have this problem.

Re: Instrument cluster problems, anyone else?

The beeping may be indicating to you that the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) light is out. When you turn the key to the run position, does the Airbag/SRS light illuminate during the bulb test? If not, the beeping is to indicate that the bulb is out. What is the beeping pattern (ie: beep, beep, beep, pause, beep, beep would indicate a code 32)?

Some of the FFV Taruii had a distance to empty module, that may be faulty on yours. Do you get a "low fuel" indicator when you have about 50 miles worth of fuel remaining? Maybe I should ask if you used to get a low fuel indicator.

The gas gauge in these is not accurate at all. I just fill up around 200 miles.

Re: Instrument cluster problems, anyone else?

your right the sRS light bulb is out. Thanks for the idea. My guage will read anything at anytime. It is never correct and if it looks to be correct it will change while I am driving.
The beep is 5 beeps followed by 5 beeps.
