Cam Belt Cover noise
Hi, any one have any idea how to remove the cam belt cover AND REPLACE IT BACK SAFELY ?
i have this cranking sound coming from under neath the cam cover. any one have this same sound too. how long before i need to change the cam belt, is there a tensioner for the belt under the cam cover for this belt? thanks |

If you have any noise from your timing bely area, you should NOT drive the car. You may break the timing belt or the car may jump timing. Either may cause serious damage to the engine. I would recommend that you have you the car towed to whatever shop you chose and have the car looked at. You should replace your timing belt every 5 years or 60k miles. hi ,
tahsnk for the info. it turns out that the tensioner bearing was loose, i have it replaced and tighten the timing belt . the noise is gone . now my engine sounds sweet as a baby ...
