Drivers side power window
Drivers side power window goes up "crooked". The front of the window tips down, sometimes so severely that the window will stop going up. If I grab it and pull the front up it will proceed to go up, but not all the way. There is a small gap which creates a lot of wind noise and some draft.
Van is a '98 with 88,000 miles. Anybody torn their door apart? I'm a little hesitant but can't stand the thought of bringing it in for this... Could it be a simple as worn plastic rollers or just plain off the track? Any help appreciated! |

Re: Drivers side power window
I have a 97 Chevrolet Venture that I just had the transmission rebuilt on and it has this weird jerk and sometimes the engine will rev, but the vehicle will not accelerate for a few seconds. the temperature needle also seems to fluctuate alot although there is plenty of fluid and the coolant light comes on and off. Anybody have any ideas?

For the coolant light coming on and off you either have a leak in one of the hoses or intake manifold or the t-stat needs changing. I had similar symptoms in my 97 which turned out to be the right angle hose leaking under the t-stat housing. This of course was after I needed the intake and head gaskets replaced, t-stat and radiator replaced. If changing fluid, switch over to the green coolant vs. Death, I mean Dex-Cool orange. If your intake gasket has lasted this long, consider yourself lucky. Have a qualified mechanic check this out. |

Re: Drivers side power window
My Chevy Venture has the same problem. The arms that raise and lower the window is bent (who knows how?) and needs to be replaced. Suggest junkyard or auto repair shop.
