warm up time

I have a 2000 GM and ever since new it takes a long time to warm up (compaired to all the General Motors cars I have owned) and the thermistat has been changed twice with no change, but when it does finally heat it will heat very well,my question is are all 4.6 motors like that? I preveously owned a 88 Crown Vic with 5.0 and it did not take as long.

Re: warm up time

modulars do take longer to warm up than the old pushrods. one downfall of being more efficient.

make sure your coolant is good.
