03 LS8 Radio Reception issues /WEIRD

I recently purchased a 2003 LS8 with close to 30,000 miles. The car is clean and you can tell it was well taken car of.

Anyway, I am in love with the car and the only issue I have right now is with the radio. For some reason I do not get any channels in clearly. I pulled the plug off the rear window and tried cleaning the contacts with some contact cleaning solution. I also checked the marks in the windshield (rear) for any seperations or cracks and everything is fine. Now here is the weird thing.

I had a very tall friend in the rear seat (behind driver) and he raised his arm and pushed slightly on the head liner and the radio is clear as all hell. It seems like something is loose above the headliner??

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? It would be most appreciated.

Does the reception get any worse with the antenna unplugged from the rear window?

What if, with the connector unplugged at the rear window, your tall friend holds on to the loose connector? If you get excellent reception this way, then I'd suspect there is a trace on the back window somewhere that you are not seeing. Have someone hold a bright light on the outside of the rear window while you look for breaks from the inside.
