Angry my front speakers!!

I just bought myself a pair of focal component speakers...
but the thing is, the magnet is toooo big and deep.
If i put it in, my windows would only go like half way down!!
I think i need to build some door builds or something for the speakers....
But i dunno how to do it, can someone show me any pictures of their installs or something?
either i do that...or i just take the speakers back and swap them for some infinity ones!
damn i was hoping to wire them up today and let my car boom!!
nevermind, any help would be appreciated!!!

prob best to take em back and get speakers that fit ... i have pritty heafty speakers in my doors and they just fit but i tend to get a few rattles with the big speakers in the doors .... so i got some speakers in the back and have most of the sound going there ... sounds great though just waiting now for my sub and amp and it will all be cool ....

Hay man it was u who wanted to know when i did my cold air intake ?? anyway its done .. i used a vacum hose for it .... quite good really cos where it goes to in the front part of the bumper there is a nice holde exactly the right side for the hose to go in I have noticed an increase in power too not too much but better than nothing ... I got the biggest gain so far from my piper ack box plus i just ordered a green air filter .....

If ya want a god site for honda parts in the uk goto http://www.needforspeed.co.uk

they have quite a bit of stuff

Or kit some kick plate brackets for your speakers. I think they look pretty damn good.

Take some washers on the crews so it pushes out the mounting surface a bit.
Thats what i did with my Blaupunkt's and they sound great, and clear the window no problem.

Talking they will fit

I have the focal expert 6.5's installed in the doors of my 90 hatch. All you need to do is remove the plastic factory speaker baffle. Cut out a 3/4 inch piece of mdf in the same shape of the speaker baffle. Mount it in place of the crappy plastic one. This will provide enough dept for most any mid bass driver you can buy. It will be a close fit, but it will all fit behind the factory speaker grill so no one will know you have upgraded your speakers. Now you are on your own with the tweeters, however they will fit in the factory plastic kickpanels. Hope this helps

Like this?

I also used 3/4 inch (18mm) MDF to clear the magnet, the speakers have more than enough clearance this way.

It's really not that hard, just use a Jig Saw (sp?), and use the original plactic thing to get the right shape.
When it had the right shape I covered the brackets with tape to protect the wood (water gets in the door and MDF doesn't like that) you can also paint it I guess.

Poor you. You and I work for the same company. Dynamat is a Joke. When you screw a speaker down to dynamat is squishes it flat by the way. Are you in Sales?

Keep your focals at all costs! I have put them into several 4th gens ! cut some MDF or if you want to go to Best Buy we sell 6.5" spacers already made! they come in 1/2 inch and 1 inch depths!

They will sound ALOT better if you seal them with spacers. MDF is best, but the plastic ones will be way better than the way you have it. Focal makes a damn good speaker.
