I have this strange problem on my '87 200sx. When accelerating past 3500 rpm the engine suddenly losses power and starts missing. I changed the cap, rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter and checked the vacuum lines. I am currently running some fuel injector cleaner through it to see if that helps. Any other suggestions?

Re: '87 200sx sudden power loss at 3500 rpm
well for one, your 200sx is rear wheel drive, and this is the front wheel drive 200sx forum. other than that, id say check compression, check timing. it could be something like a tired ignition coil, but this is sort of vague problem. try reposting in the other forum.
