92 BMW 325i Sedan

Needing Help working on father's car seems to overheat at a idle.The heater does not get hot. I noticed the upper hose seems to swell. Is this just a stuck thermastat. Is it hard to replace.It has 111000 miles. Thanks

Sounds like the T stat. They are not hard at all to replace.
