FS: My 96 GST

It's time to move on. I am selling the GST and the civic, and buying an IS300 to build the motor and go big single turbo. The car is going for dirt cheap.

$4,500

Apexi N1 Catback Exhaust and Downpipe, 17i powdercoated black konigs, , Greddy air filter, ebay intake, Dunlop SP sport FM901's, evoiii 16g turbo, walbro 190 pump, PTE 680cc injectors, eprom ecu, dsmlink v2.5, Greddy Type RS BOV, slowboy fmic and 2.5inch piping (24x12x3), Joe P MBC, ACT 2100 (starting to slip under high boost), prothane motor mount inserts (make the car vibrate), 97+ bumper, powdercoated valve cover, foglights, greddy counterweight shift knob, car also has a very good panasonic matrix display deck, and rockford fosgate amp/subs/wiring kit, also has sirius satelite radio

the good: the motor runs strong and makes good power. Dyno'd at 275/295 on low boost. Tranny shifts fine, everything mechanically works great. The car was modded with good parts, I spent around 4k on parts alone for this car. No junk on this car. DSMLink is awesome  Car can sit in 100 degree weather with a/c on and never come close to overheating. Most of the interior is in good shape., very good tires with a lot of tread left

the bad: clutch is starting to slip under high boost and high gears. Will need a new clutch eventually to utilize higher gears. Paint is oxidizing badly on the roof and spoiler, is fine elsewhere. The car is "rough", meaning some interior pieces aren't in the best of shape, some panels pop off, etc., the sunroof does not open, and leaks a little with hard rain, needs new weatherstripping

here are some pics:

Car is in San Antonio, Texas.

Re: FS: My 96 GST

I would prefer to keep this car in the DSM community. I don't want the car wrecked by some idiot driver, and I don't want someone to own it who doesn't know DSM's

Damn, it's sad to see you leaving. You've been around forever. That's great price and I'll check around for ya.

I won't be leaving the forum, and I have already secured a purchase of a 92 AWD with a shep tranny and a blown motor. Just have to wait a few months before I can purchase that.

Re: FS: My 96 GST

miles are at 102k

I'm letting it go cheap because I need the money for the is300, and I would prefer to sell it cheaper and keep it in the DSM community.

Shipping isn't that expensive

Re: FS: My 96 GST

I have no idea, I can look it up though, I thought it was usually around 500 bucks for a car transporter

Re: FS: My 96 GST

Yeah, most places are showing about 500 bucks if I drop the car off somewhere in San Antonio, and you pick it up.

If you're serious, PM me and we can work something out

Oh man... Well, it could be that or I could come visit my cousins in Georgetown if thats anywhere near you. lol

I'm seriously considering this here... Cause around here they are asking like 5k+ for all these shitty cars with like 150k+ miles... Got an interior pic?

I could always swap the dsmlink over to my talon then.

Re: FS: My 96 GST

Since I know you, I will go half on the shipping. I would really like to see this car continue on with someone I know. That's the reason I'm selling it so cheap. The car has too much sentimental value to let it go to a stranger.

Re: FS: My 96 GST

Hey man, so your getting a IS300? To bad you were not so far from me, my best friend is amazing He just sold his for crazy money, 650 HP to the wheels, also he is amazing with the supra engine, his last car was a supra and it had 750 hp to the wheels, the is300 is just a detuned supra engine. now he is building a 96 SVT cobra mustang which will have 1400HP to the crank and 1100HP to the wheels. (STREET LEGAL) He knows his shit.

Check his website out, they are getting it together. All the cars on his site they did also check his 260HP sled out, 14 psi

Give him a call man just to ask questions about the is300, you will be amazed with what he will tell you or help you with.

The picture on there Home page is his IS300, click on project cars and take a look.

http://bigmotorsports.com/

Give him a call man, his name is Travis 518-586-6766, if you do call him let him know i told you about him. Me (eric) lol

Any questions just IM me. I have a dyno run at a dyno competition that he won also if you wish to see the video?
