clutch question

hey..i got my 98 3000gt sohc..just had heads done.. im looking to get a clutch to really feel any gains cuz mine is gone..im wondering whats a good one to get..any links or spots to look..i looked on ebay at a few but im not sure if they fit sohc..are dohc and sohc the same?

Is it slipping? Because unless you are using FI the stock clutch should be adequate.

ya like i said its gone..if im on it..from 1st to 2nd gear you can hear the clutch spinning for like 2 seconds before it grabs..i was just looking for a stock to a little above stock upgrade clutch is all...

For the money I would go stock...

I had a Spec Stage 2 (kevlar) and that barely lasted a year (it overheated in traffic) but the petal was heavier and really didn't do anything for me performance-wise (nevermind Kevlar seemed fickle... Judging from the net it seems to be a hit or miss).

The carbon-metallic sprung disks looks promising (I think it's Spec stage 3.5) but as I said, there just isn't the need for that much holding torque.

just go with another stock replacement clutch. it will hold the power fine. i do a lot of my parts shopping at www.thepartsbin.com. they have a good selection of OEM quality brands. also, they give you free shipping on orders of $50, and its fast shipping, too!
