RIP Lincoln LS

It is with great regrets (sincerely) that I have to announce that I have sold my 2000 LS V8 Sport. This car was so nice to drive... but the maintenance costs were just too high. I had pretty much all the typical problems, and now it was the sway bar/bushings that had to be replaced...

Best car I have ever driven, but least reliable.

Re: RIP Lincoln LS

I know this is over a month old already, but I'm going to do the same thing - for the same reasons.

I've had it with this car, it's costing WAY too much on repairs that shouldn't be needed (yet), and the cost of the individual parts for it.

I love the car but will be better off financially without her.

Whereabouts in Canada are ya?

Re: RIP Lincoln LS

Hi,
I am in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.
Man, I am nostalgic every time I see an LS on the street. And also when I am on the highway and want to pass a car; with the LS I never hesitated because the power was there, but with my new 4 cyl. I have to think about it twice!! But I'm saving on fuel.

I had all the typical problems with the LS, but I lost patience when I was downtown Montreal for new years eve and another window regulator failed, so the window was stuck down... I had to force it up and jam cardboards pieces to hold it there, so I could park on the street with the window up and attend a party.

However I don't regret purchasing the car, I loved to drive it. I wish they still made compact cars with rear wheel drive though, my first toyota SR-5 1984 was a cool little car.
