Celica Purchase

I was thinking about getting a Celica from '95-'04, something about $8g or less....less. But i was wondering which trims are available and which has the biggest or best motor? Maybe if someone knew a website that offered that info for older cars would be awesome. I don't know anything about Celicas that is why I need help.

94-99 youve got 2 options, the st and gt, the gt has 135hp and the st has 115. for 00-05 models you have the gt 140hp 5speed or a gt-s 180hp 6speed. if you can find a gt-s for 8gs then buy it, otherwise id buy the 94-99 gt.

Why not get the 00-05 gt if it has more hp though? Is the transmission different or suspension setup?

2. it also looks better, to me anyways.

Just my opinion.

The 00-05 GTs are nice cars, they are light, they will handle out of the box better than a 94-99, they have sufficient pickup due to the low weight and based on my experience, they are geared very nice, especially once you hit 3rd gear.

Problem is, there aren't many that are under 8K unless you get very lucky (in my area anyway)

I paid 17,500 for my 04 3 weeks ago, but it had 17,600 miles on it. You can probably get a good condition 00-01 for 9 or 10.

i just seen a black 01 GTS for 7995 buy it now on ebay. 130000 miles no rust looked nice and not a bad dedal
