I get pretty crappy gas mileage in my '06 Civic SI- probably 21 city, 23 hwy. Has anyone used Fuel Saver Pro or the Tornado Fuel Saver, or any other devices to increase efficiency with any success? I really need help here, thanks!

Re: Fuel Efficiency Issues
Well Honda lists their gas mileage as 23 city and 32 highway. Those Fuel Saver Pro things are fake, they're getting sued by the Federal Trade Commission because of it. There isn't any product out there that will help. Here's some more info on that: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/autos/gasave.htm
How do you drive your car on the highway? Do you make sure to keep the revs down, or do you keep them high to be able to punch it around slower traffic? |

Re: Fuel Efficiency Issues
Unfortunately that is the penalty of a performance motor, power takes gas. There hasn't really been a fix for that.

Re: Fuel Efficiency Issues
The 07 Si specs say it gets 23-32 and the 08 Si specs say 21-29. The engines are the same. It's just that the 08 specs are more accurate. As far as saving gas goes, you might want to look into Oxi-Hydrogen kits. They're not that complicated. My dad is building one in his back yard out of a stainless steel pressure cooker pot and sheet metal. Maintaining your car, and increasing the heat of the air going through the intake helps too.

Re: Fuel Efficiency Issues
Honda Civic 2006 have a low fuel consumption compared with other cars with the same level. How did you drive your car? It was the best go to your dealer for a detailed check.
