'94 Intrepid Trans Slips/stops Buzzing Noise
I have a 1994 Intrepid with a gazillion miles on it and when either of my drive tires spins even the slightest bit, there is a loud buzzing noise under hood and transmission stops. It only does it when I come up my drive and it is slippery. I have to let off gas and let the transmission hook back up and try again. Is it something to do with a traction control malfunction or solenoid? It just snowed and I am screwed. Any info would be appreciated.

Re: '94 Intrepid Trans Slips/stops Buzzing Noise
If it is equipped with traction control, then one slipping drive wheel will cause something like what you describe. What puzzles me though it what do you mean by "transmission stops" ? Do you mean it jumps out of drive..?..IN fact, traction control will wait for wheel slippage to end before its action stops...norrmally traction control acts by reducing engine power .
