Crazy power door locks
I have a 1997 Suburban. I am having intermittent door lock problems. The door locks (all of them) will start locking and unlocking as I'm driving, sometimes rapidly sometimes slowly. All the locks are working but I suspect that this lock/unlock craziness may be happening when I am away from the truck as well.
I have an aftermarket alarm KARR installed and I was wondering if that could cause it. The truck and alarm were functioning properly for well over two years, so I'm not sure if it's the alarm or the truck. Any ideas? |

Re: Crazy power door locks
One word for you my friend.. " Electrical" In between the door and the body on driver and passenger side there is a rubber sleve containing wires for door locks power windows and stuff. Take that sleve off and inspect the wires on both sides. Over time these wires break and crack because of opening and closing the door. Good luck!
