Uhhhh, the B16a2 head

Instead of asking these stupid questions about how to run a 10/11 second street legal car and the best motor swap for this and that and the other thing why dont you slow it the fuck down and learn something before you do this. This is how people get killed. Im sure you have good intentions but ive seen this happen so many times - people come and think they can just write someone a phat check, jump into one of the fattest streetable cars out there and will have a great time.

For starters, running such a fast car requires TUNING TUNING TUNING... you cant just plug in a new ECU and run that fast, it takes many many many months of preperation and CONSTANT tuning.

Not only that, it requires one thing everyone always forgets to mention - YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DRIVE! Whatever you think you know about driving, throw it out the window when it comes to having such a fast car. You also need to learn more aggressive defensive driving tactics, accident avoidance, the list goes on and on.

I cant tell you how many people ive seen get a $35,000 tuned to shit "race" car and kill themselves and others street racing because they didnt know what they were doing. Hitup some SCCA events, hit the drag strip with even a SEMI fast car, something that runs 13's and youll quickly see what the hell you are getting into.

And to let you know I have dragged before, not on street roads, but just out on some country roads with a bunch of people... Im not a really stupid person... Im taking everything one step at a time... Im not just gonna go all out right away and run 10's/11's its something I want to happen... I would love it if I could do that just like that... but I know I can't Im just asking questions and seeing what other people have done and what theyre suggestions would be.

Racing on back country roads is even stupider then near a more populated area - as the roads are less traveled, thus arent maintained as well as more commonly used roads.

The road is less than a mile from the city, it was just made less than a year ago... so I dont think that much is wrong with it, and Ive already been through one wreck off of country roads... And I dont race a really lot on them like I used to. Ive already learned from the mistakes Ive made.

well.....this got a little off topic.... but i feel that the best head to put on the B16A2 motor (99/00 USDM Si) would be a JDM B16B EK9 Civic Type R head. It flows better, the camshafts (especially the intake cam...mmmmm) are the best that you can get as OEM honda parts, and the valvetrain components are great. You could simply, however, port and polish the head, and upgrade the valvetrain components, and replace the cams and get a better setup than the OEM CTR head.....IMHO

I agree, you probably wouldnt know what to do with a 13 sec FWD
