98 GC heater motor will not operate
Jumped in the GC, turned on the heater and put the fan on with no result at any fan speed. Checked the fuses - OK and checked current was getting to the motor using a light probe. Got a light on both the red and black wires going to the heater motor with the system on. I can hear a relay actuate in the fan spped switch module area when I turn the heater contol on.
Took the fan cooling hose off and can easily turn the motor. Any ideas?

Re: 98 GC heater motor will not operate
It was the control module. Took it out, disassembled it, cleaned up the contacts on the rotary switches and put it back in. Works fine now and saved $130 for a new part plus labor.

Hello,
I have developed a solution for the jeep grand cherokee heating problem. The usual problem involves the breaking of the blend doors. This occurs much more frequently than any other heating/a.c. problem. My solution is strong, easy to install, and it definitely beats paying the dealer $1800!!
