96 grand am 3.1 not starting well
I have a 96 grand am with the 3.1 it has 255k miles and im having a problem after i start the car in the morning and let it warm up and drive it somewhere and shut it off after it sits for around 30min it doesn't start very well it takes a lot of cranking and backfires until it warms back up.
I do not have a check engine light because the bulb is blown. The car also has a cold air take. Any suggestions would help |

Re: 96 grand am 3.1 not starting well
First I'd say get it scanned to see if thier are any DTC's.
This sounds like an electrical problem, quiet possibly your crank position sensor on the fritz. Could even be one of the coils about to fail. When was the last tune up, plugs&wires ?

I changed the plugs and wires around 10,000 miles ago

Get it scanned for trouble codes.
