Re: low end speed

lol.....Hondas aren't known for their low end. I dont even know what to tell you. Mods like intake and exhaust help, but very little. When i bought my GSR, rather than spending money on that, i just decided to boost it...now when people jump ahead of me, i just have a little patience, wait for the turbo to spool and then i'm gone...lol

Nitrous would be good, but other than that, there are no cost effective solutions.....

Re: low end speed

what kind of intake do you have? Short ram or cold air? This can be a big factor in where you make power. Unfortunately most companies and enthusiests only care about high end power, to claim they make more power than the rest. What they don't tell you is that you will gain high end power at the cost of losing low end.

Re: low end speed

i got short ram intake. so basicaly if i want to smash on them completly just get turbo or nitrous. i'll probley go with the turbo in a few months. what do you need for turbo-i know- turbo, intercooler, exhaust manifold, waste gate, blow off vale, boost gage. did i miss any thing? this is my every day driver i just like to race every once an a wile. do you think i should even turbo it?

Re: low end speed

The short ram is definently part of your problem. You lost low end power in favor of high end power. I put one on my car and below 4000 rpms my car was absolutely gutless (even more than it is stock). One major thing you're missing from the list of turbo parts is an engine management system. Whether you're turboing or going the nitrous route, you need something to help deliver more fuel and control ignition timing. And it also depends on what condition your engine is in. You should do a compression test and a leakdown test to make sure the engine is healthy enough first.

Re: low end speed

if you're going to turbo, dont just jump in head first like an idiot....read up on it a lot or you're just going to have one hell of an expensive mess....
