Driver's window died!!!

A few days back the window suddenly stopped working. The next day it happened to work the one time I tried it although I decided not to push my luck. Now once again it isn't working at all,the other 3 are working fine. Do you think it would be the motor for the driver window? Any help is appreciated!!

Re: Driver's window died!!!

Welcome to AF.

First check your fuses.

The check the switch,
you can pull the window button panel off.

At the top of the button switch is a small place where you can lift/pry it up with a straight slot screwdrivr.

I'd try checking it for power and maybe clean it up if thiers debrie in it. Sometimes stuff gets in there and you can blow it out or just work the button rapidly to free anything under the contact switch.

this might help, has some pics that relate to your alero,
about 5 paragraphs down, "Door buttons".
Then another 4-5 paragraphs dwon is another pic of the "button switch".
Disassembly of your 99+ N-Body Interior

Hope that helps.
