Exclamation New section(s) with parts listing

If you havent noticed we have a new sub-forum above with Tips and Maintenance R&R procedures

I have finished two sections of the parts listings(for the 99-03 GA) and was wanting to know what everyone thought about them.

When its finished I was going to put things in order by engine size, but now have decieded to keep them in order from the GM manual, then I will make an Index showing whats where and links to the appropriated item(s).

So please check them out !

99-03 Grand Am Parts List: Head lights/Cooling System/Engine & Trans Axles

99-03 Grand Am Parts List: Exhaust-Emissions/Front Suspension/Power Steering

And please post in the poll, its anonymous .

Re: New section(s) with parts listing

Well It does not break the trans down that far.

But here is a butter pic of where it goes.

Line press tap plug is where it goes, screws in

And here is an exploded view of our trans just for giggles.

I thought I could get all those parts up in a weekend or two

Boy, did I under estimate how many parts thier are
But I'm getting thier

Re: New section(s) with parts listing

Also these parts lists Do give you an idea of how things are put together.

So when you need something disassenbled or repaired these can possibly help out.

Re: New section(s) with parts listing

nice, should I do teflon wrap on the plug to prevent any leakage? I remember hearing like alot of crap drains so I should catch it in a cup .. if its in the front I could do at my friend's ... huge steep incline, great for moving fluids

Re: New section(s) with parts listing

So those pics hepled you find it

Yes definatly use teflon tape on the treads.
Thier wont be to much run out since that plug is toward the top.
That chain that connects the flywheel to the trans axle,
I think the SE's has some slop in it. Its been slamming gears pretty hard latly. Might be time for me to fit in a 4t65E from a GTP or something

Re: New section(s) with parts listing

Well I finished up 2 more sections today.

The Restraint systems, which also has seats, sun roof, and headliner assy.

The other section which has the steering column has the wipers, Dash and its components and the audio systems.

It realy is going to help in more ways then one.

Also if you do see anything out of place, ie wrong pic with parts let me know. I went through them all but sometimes one can miss something, other then a few mis-spelled words
