2x Xsara WRC

Hello guys...

It´s been a while since i posted my last wip in here...

Since i´m having some days out of work... i´ve chosen 2 Xsaras WRC, for relaxing and finish some projects i had planed long ago.
2 Heller kits (80769) + 2 Renaissance transkits... and the result of the past 3 days:

The bodywork looks beautiful. How is the Heller kit? I've been completely unable to find it, except included with the Italeri Citroen racing truck. I certainly recognise Loeb's 06 car, but who drove the OMV? (I didn't follow WRC much in 05.) I thought for a moment it was Stohl/Minor's car for Monte Carlo this year, and was going to commend you for your quick turnaround!

Will you modify the inside as it need to be or will you build it OOB ?

MPWR, on my opinion heller kit isn't very good, bad thick plastic, severals mistakes or missing parts in the kit, a assembly conception closer to toys than to model kit...
But it's the only one existing !
For modelers not affraid by scratch and modifications it's not a too big problem.
yes, OMV version is Stohl's 2005 car.

HLJ should release the kit in german rally version. But it would be cheaper in Germany, take your chance at Nimpex.de

Looking absolutely great.
Very clean and shiny paint/decalwork.

Any tips on improvements you made to these kits would be great as I'm planning to build Loebs 2005 Xsara.

hmm.. doesn't he drive this car for the 2007 season too? allthough this Citroën is the 2005 version..

Hi Rickard,

you're right, Manfred is back to Citroën, with a lighter OMV livery (car is mostly white).
I think you will easyly find a picture of the 2007 car on the Web if you want to take a look at it.

MPWR... like rallymaster said, the Heller kit is hawful, but it´s the only one.
At eBay i found easy to get one, since i bought both of them there.
The OMV 2005 was from Stohl, yes. And this year he is back at Kronos Racing again with a similar decoration.

rallymaster... it will have some modifications, but not much.

DerXL... as i can i will post some of my improvements.

Hello again guys...

Work is going slow, and it will get slower since i´m back at work.
But i´ve got some new updates:

I still have to retouch this last modifications in some areas, but here they are by now. The shift gear (diferent from the first xsara wrc), the foot-rest of the co-pilot, the cell phone in the console and the head protections on the roll-bar.


The whells of both ready.


One side panel, made with a scheme of a Studio27 transkit, with the road-book.


The body work in both are almost done, just missing the rear view mirrors. I will post the photos later...
