BBR 1/43 models?

I tried to search, but it seems like if you have less the 4 letters, it doesn't recognize anything.. ugh..

So I was browsing some bbr ferrari kits on ebay and wondering what the quality is like on these? It looks like some yellowish plastic/resin for most of it. Anybody have one or any info?

Re: BBR 1/43 models?

I have never seen one, but want a couple of them.

I know their built kits go for hundreds of dollars, so I am assuming they are top quality.

Here is their site.

I have built them, nice stuff. Pricey, but good quality. They have a knack for capturing the bodies of Ferrari's. Here's a couple, the 355 was built straight out of the box... - Mark

Re: BBR 1/43 models?

I just picked up their 1/43 F360 GT, and all I can say is WOW. The resin is hard, but not brittle, the wheels are goregeous, brakes are made from a number of photoetch parts. Top that with a well cast engine and lovely sharp panel lines and you get a winner. The decals also look great, but I may just build mine up as a privateer/ex racer, I am not sure yet.

If you have the chance, pull the trigger. I paid $70 (Cdn) for mine, and I am looking at getting more.

Re: BBR 1/43 models?

I haven't in 1/43 but I have few in "big" series, 1/24: I thing good, they aren't perfect but show really passion, with some smart solution, they give self-adv. masks for paintjob, great PE, some turned parts, and the cost is right, less than japan products (that I love too ) . Pretty sure that Roberto@Icaro can find what you search, I found a very helpful guy in him and at least a gentleman.

Re: BBR 1/43 models?

Hi you all out there! I'm new here and in modelling too. I have read a lot of threads in this forum and learned a lot from your posts.

Now I'm glad that I maybe could help one of the "old" guys

My second model after a short 20-year-Break of modelling is a 1:43 Porsche GT3 RSR "Peterson Motorsport" from Provence Miniatures wich is nearly finished. I have also a Ferrari F360 N-GT from BBR in 1:43 in my stock. In my opinion the quality of the BBR Parts is slightly better. Espacially the PE-Parts of BBR are real cute.

I made a few pictures of the parts of the Ferrari and hope they will help you.

Best regards

Thomas

That is the same one I mentioned earlier, except mine is the Ferrari of Washington version. I was blown away by the quality of the product, and would not hesitate for a second to buy another BBR kit. Like I said, the casting is so clean, it's almost like an injection molded offering. If you haven't picked one up yet, do yourself a favour and get it done!

Re: BBR 1/43 models?

I've only built one BBR kit so far (Nissan R391 from LeMans '99) and it was one sweet little kit! I wouldn't have any hesitation to buy another and have been considering taking the plunge on the 1/24 Ferrari 360GT-LM even tho I have the Renaissance transkit already.

Thumbs up Re: BBR 1/43 models?

For me, the best 1/43 non-ultra high detail all aeound resin models.

This is my Ferrari 250LM-1965 Le Mans Winner

Re: BBR 1/43 models?

Hi 5ynergyx,

dont use c/a-glue because the windows will get foggy! I tried to glue them with white glue and clear-coat from Tamiya. The clear Tamiya (I think it's X22) works fine for me.
