Plow on 1500
Hey guys,
I want some other people's opinions on this. Good or bad idea to put a snowplow on my 2002 chevy silverado? Its a 4x4 w/ the 5.3L and its the worktruck ( something like z85 suspension?). Anyway, i know plows are hard on trucks (depending on your plowing style), but does anyone have an opinion on what type of plow or no plow at all. Also, has anyone head of Western's Personal Plow? Its called the suburbanite. Its a composite plow only weighs like 250lbs....anyway http://www.suburbaniteplows.com Thanks guys By the way, it would be for mostly plowing my and my neighbors dirve, not too "comercial", if i wanted to make $$$ i would buy an older plow truck

Re: Plow on 1500
Look at the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System:
http://www.timbren.com/ses-kits.htm I was thinking of getting a Stealthdumptruck kit and they advised me to install this on the back end. He said they are rated at 3600# and are available for the front too in the case of a plow. The front and rear are $199 each with free shipping. Here is the name of the guy I was talking to: Eric E. Thorvaldson, Sr. President Stealth Dump Trucks, Inc. (757) 890-4888 |

Re: Plow on 1500
If you are going to plow I'd make sure you are also setup as if you were going to tow: trans cooler and oil cooler. Heat will be your enemy.
