Vibration

I have a 1995 Aerostar 3.0 with a vibration problem I can't find. It seems to be coming from the rear driver side wheel. I have replaced brakes recently and thought the drums may be out of balance so replaced them. No help. Replaced U-joints both front and rear. No help. Replaced wheel on rear driver side. No help. If I jack up the rear and run the vehicle in drive the rear driver side wheel wobbles. The vibration is felt at about 45 mph & up. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Chuck

Re: Vibration

HI,

Swap rear wheels and see if the vibration changes sides. If it does, you found the problem. Could be that the lug holes have worn a bit and you need to replace the wheel. Balancing would be the first thing to do, but you said the wheel whobbles which indicates something more serous than balancing.

Good luck
