I was wondering what year miata is the best. Looking to buy one.

You'll get different answers from different people. Me, I got a 94 after much research. It's advantages are:

1st year for the 1.8L engine.
Folding visors which were discontinued in 95.
No door mounted arm-rest (more lateral space than 95+s with the rest).
Real Oil Pressure gauge (gauge stayed, but sensor switched to on/off rather than analog in 95).
Torsen LSD replaced the Viscous unit in 94.
NA body style (90-97) has more leg room than the NBs (99-06).
R-Package becomes available (not that I could find one, mine's an M-Edition with everything but the R-package suspension and aero bits).
